Securing dream jobs at Career Day

With eagerness and excitement to explore their potentials in the working world, many final year students and alumni attended the UTAR Career Day 2020, organised by Department of Alumni Relations and Placement on 19 February 2020 at Dewan Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik of UTAR Kampar Campus.

The aim was to provide opportunities for the participants to meet their potential employers in an informal setting, secure interview opportunities and to learn about other job opportunities offered in the Career Day. Held bi-annually, the career day is organised on every March and July. It provides an opportunity for employers to interview potential candidates instantaneously. The career day also acts as a platform that prepares students for interview sessions as well as helping them plan their future career plans.

“Providing our students and alumni with a platform to secure their potential employment is important. We understand that job seeking is not easy and sometimes it is difficult to get hold of certain companies. Through UTAR Career Day, they need not worry about contacting the companies, because they are readily available at the event. Knowing that, students and alumni can fully focus on preparing for their interviews and resume. Also, having the experience to attend the interview session with these companies is rewarding. From there, they can at least know what the real situation is when they attend interviews outside,” said DARP Head Lim Swea Jen.
