The University continues to step up its safety measures in both Sungai Long and Kampar Campuses while also abiding to the guidelines that were issued by the government. Staff from the Department of Estates and Facilities of Sungai Long was seen getting the campus ready ahead of time. They were drawing lines with red tapes throughout the campus to ensure social distancing. The cleaning process was also continuously conducted to ensure the safety of students on both campuses.
Prior to that, in assisting 77 students from both campuses in returning to their respective hometowns on 7 May 2020, safety guidelines were also strictly adhered by the university. The students safely returned to their hometowns following the guidelines set by the government. Buses were also pre-arranged earlier to send the students back to their hometowns. In the buses, UTAR staff accompanied the students to ensure that process was conducted smoothly and according to guidelines.
