Green Operation and Quality Management Webinar

UTAR Division of Community and International Networking (DCInterNet) along with Office of Institutional Cooperation, Universitas Surabaya (UBAYA), Indonesia jointly organised a webinar, also known as, cyber-class series #1 titled “Green Operation and Quality Management” on 21 October 2020 via Zoom Platform.

A total of 59 UBAYA students participated in this cyber class. The purpose of the cyber class was to enable the participants to learn more about quality management and the issues on the green operation.

Dr Komathi defined quality management and its application

The first speaker was Faculty of Accountancy and Management (FAM) Department of International Business lecturer Dr Komathi Munusamy. She discussed Quality Management, focusing on the definition of quality and its application. She also analysed seven principles of quality management based on selected companies.

Khairul highlighted the dilemma faced by Malaysian SMEs in regards to green operation

The next speaker was FAM Department of International Business lecturer Khairul Anuar bin Rusli.  He highlighted issues pertaining to green operations; the current stage and future plan of Malaysian SMEs. He also explored the dilemma of Malaysian SMEs in adopting green practices from the multi-stakeholders’ perspective.

The webinar was followed by a Q&A session. It was hosted by moderator UBAYA Director of Office of Institutional Cooperation Adi Tedjakusuma. The webinar ended with group photography.
