Free Chinese herbs for discharged COVID-19 patients

The Chinese Medicine Task Force of Malaysia (COVID-19), led by UTAR Head of Department of Chinese Medicine-cum-Chairperson of Centre for Research in Traditional Chinese Medicine Assoc Prof Dr Te Kian Keong, collaborated with GHHS Chinese Medical Centre (金马养源斋中医馆) to provide free Chinese herbs for COVID-19 patients who were discharged from the hospitals.

An online TCM consultation can be done if discharged patients make registration online. Free Chinese herbs will be given based on personal assessment and will be sent to the patients by delivery. Each patient will receive eight packets of Chinese herbs for four-day supply. They are required to consume one packet twice daily. Any discharged patients who are interested in getting free TCM consultation and Chinese herbs can follow the Facebook website: facebook.com/ChineseMedicineTaskForceMalaysiaCovid19/ or register at the following website: http://sg.mikecrm.com/dVQToll

Since the outbreak began in Malaysia, the task force has been providing herbal tea to the public for free. With the arrival of the third wave of the pandemic and the emergence of the "Long Cluster" in Selangor, the task force had collaborated with Peking Tongrentang (M) Sdn Bhd (北京同仁堂(马)有限公司) and UTAR Centre for Research in Traditional Chinese Medicine (CRTCM) to distribute free herbal tea to more than 100 Bandar Sungai Long residents in October. Good feedback was given after the residents consumed the herbal tea. According to them, their mood, sleeping quality, energy level and many other aspects were greatly improved after the consumption.

Sabah is one of the states affected heavily by the third wave of the pandemic. In order to enhance the health and well-being of the people, the task force, sponsored by Federation of Chinese Physicians and Medicine Dealers Association of Malaysia (马来西亚华人医药总会), collaborated with Ecare TCM Healthcare & Acupuncture (亚庇益康中医) to provide free herbal tea to people living in Kota Kinabalu. The online registration is still available for people who are staying in Kota Kinabalu. Herbal tea for five days will be delivered to those who do online registration and consultation.
