Twenty-nine members of the
UTAR
Askar Wataniah Club of Sungai Long Campus joined the Territorial Army’s
Annual Training Camp 2020 (Latihan
Kem Tahunan – LKT) held at Sekolah Latihan Kontijen Seremban and Kem
Sikamat in Negeri Sembilan. The 15-day camp was held from 2 to 16 September
2020. The training strictly adhered to the standard operating procedures
(SOPs) placed by the Ministry of Health.
The training, which involved two officers and 187
Anggota Lain-Lain Pangkat (LLP),
aimed to apply the knowledge that had been learnt throughout the year from
the local training held during the weekends. Several training and tests were
conducted during the camp, including
Ujian Jalan Laju 5km, Ujian
Kelayakan Kemahiran Individu (UKKI), and hiking programme at Bukit
Kepayang, Seremban.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Commanding Officer of
Rejimen Semboyan Divisyen Ketiga
Infantri Colonel Nik Nahar Nik Mohd Isa felt proud and expressed his
appreciation to the officers and volunteers who willingly sacrificed their
time and effort to attend the camp. He also reminded the officers and LLPs
that the insights they have gained during the training and test should
always be practised. He hopes every squadron will be skilled not only in
operating radio sets, but also in their respective field of expertise.
The closing ceremony, which took place at Dewan Menara MAINS, Seremban also
witnessed 14 members of the UTAR Askar Wataniah Club getting promoted to a
higher rank.
