A book launch event was held online by
UTAR
Department of Soft
Skills Competency (DSSC) of Sungai Long Campus on 30 July 2021 for Master
student Ren Jie who recently authored the book “Su Pin San Guo”(《素品三国》). Since
2020, Ren Jie has conducted as many as 12 online sharing sessions (as of
July 2021) on the history of the Three Kingdoms for UTAR students.

Chong Foh was invited to deliver his speech at the online book launch. In
his remarks, he congratulated Ren Jie on the release of her new book. He
mentioned that the successful publication of the new book was an affirmation
of Ren Jie’s hard work. He also expressed his appreciation to Ren Jie's
meticulous description of the historical figures of “San Guo” (The Three
Kingdoms), which gave readers more angles to read the historical story.

“‘Su Pin San Guo’ is a factual reading material where the content
is not difficult to understand. Readers who are interested in the history of
the Three Kingdoms may consider it as an introductory book. The book
contains a detailed analysis of 30 characters in the Three Kingdoms. If
readers want to understand more about the characters in the Three Kingdoms,
the book ‘Su Pin San Guo’ would be an appropriate choice,” said Ren Jie in
the book launch.
Ren Jie also announced that she would provide 120 books for UTAR
Hospital fundraising activity, of which 50% of the profit from the sales of
the books will be donated for the establishment of UTAR Hospital. In
addition, the first 20 pre-orders will receive an autographed version of the
book.
