Collaborative support for participation in the immunisation programme at UTAR Kampar Campus

To help the Kampar and surrounding communities get through this pandemic as soon as possible, Grand Kampar Hotel stepped in to generously support UTAR as a PPV (Pusat Pemberian Vaksin) centre at UTAR Kampar Campus by sponsoring the hotel accommodation and the meals for the UTAR volunteers working on campus for the COVID-19 immunisation programme.

Doctors, nurses and staff from Sungai Long Campus volunteering for the PPV at UTAR Kampar Campus, stayed at the Grand Kampar Hotel and had their daily nutritious meals and accommodation sponsored by the Hotel. In the interest of the community and to assist in getting Kamparians vaccinated as soon as possible, Grand Kampar Hotel has been providing their full support since the PPV started with the drive-through in June 2021 by providing the meals for all the volunteers at the PPV drive-through. UTAR is indeed thankful to Grand Kampar Hotel for their generosity towards the doctors, nurses and volunteers staying in the hotel and working on campus under the national immunisation programme.

UTAR Kampar Campus in collaboration with Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah (PKD) Kampar and COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) Perak is a PPV centre for both the drive-through and site vaccination under the national immunisation programme

UTAR is also grateful to Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew for his generosity in donating 1 million face masks to UTAR. The face masks were distributed to various parties including PPVs, NGOs, schools, old folks homes, new villages and vaccinees.

There were several other sponsors including Tzu Chi International Medical Association (TIMA) and Buddha's Light International Association (BLIA) who donated in support of UTAR’s participation in the national immunisation, in collaboration with PKD Kampar and CITF Perak.  UTAR truly appreciates all the sponsors for their support and contribution to the PPV immunisation programme in both campuses.
