In his opening remarks, UTAR President Ir Prof Dr Ewe Hong Tat said, “We are very honoured to be one of the event organisers again, continuously contributing to this seminar to promote economic cooperation and development between Malaysia and China. Three seminars were held since 2018. I believe this seminar plays an important role in promoting Malaysia-China relations as well as the cooperation between education institutions and businesses.”
He also said, “As we move into the post-pandemic era, digital transformation in industries becomes a norm where it is increasingly prominent in the construction of the industrial chain, supply chain, value chain, and finance aspects of the two countries. It also testifies to the mechanism of cross-border economic cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. I hope that all the experts and scholars from universities and industries attending today will take the opportunity to share their experiences, as well as discuss and work together for the development of the twin parks in the post-pandemic era.”
On the other hand, GXUN President Prof Xie Shangguo said, “Today, we are holding the 4th China-Malaysia Double Park Industrial Cooperation Seminar through a network connection. On behalf of Guangxi University for Nationalities, I would like to express my warm welcome to all the distinguished guests, experts and scholars.”
He mentioned that China and Malaysia marked the 47th anniversary of diplomatic ties this year. Both countries are friendly neighbours and important partners. He also pointed out that the cooperation between the two countries has yielded fruitful results and brought benefits to the people of both countries. He believed that the seminar would help advance the bilateral cooperation between China and Malaysia.
The seminar featured seven keynote speeches brought by experts and professionals from the industry and academia. The presenters from the industry were REANDA LLKG International Chartered Accountants Managing Partner Koong Lin Loong, Camel Power (M) Sdn Bhd Director Xue Shi Hua, and China Malaysia Holdings Limited Park (Guangxi) Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd.
