UTAR Hospital received a donation of RM5,000 which was part of the money raised at the ASEAN Chinese Awards and Charity Night held on 12 December 2021.
The ASEAN Chinese Awards and Charity Night was organised by Money Compass Media (M) Sdn Bhd and International Business Alliance (IBA) and was attended by overseas Chinese-owned businesses including established brands and new businesses, and prominent businessmen. It was officiated by Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry YB Senator Datuk Lim Ban Hong.
Themed ‘Building Something from Nothing, Setting an Example for Us’, the event aimed to value the hard work, self-improvement, and ingenuity of the Chinese business community.
An auction was held at the Charity Night to raise funds for charity. The four recipients of the funds raised were UTAR Hospital; Chung Hwa Independent High School, Kelantan; Ming Lik Secondary School, Sarawak and Pei Hwa Independent High School, Johor. Representing UTAR to receive the donation was UTAR president Ir Prof Dr Ewe Hong Tat.
