In conjunction with the
	“Virtual
	Mind & Stem Festival 2021” held from 3 July to 7 July 2021, a
webinar titled “HANONA Board” was organised on 6 July 2021 via Zoom and
Facebook Live. Invited to be the speaker was SK Methodist Parit Buntar
	Teacher Nurul Nadia binti Ismail.

HANONA Board is an innovation created from the acronym
	"Hafal Nombor Perdana" (Memorise
Prime Numbers). It aims to enhance basic understanding and facilitate the
memorisation of prime numbers. The HANONA Board was initially created to
help students who are weak in answering simple questions including prime
numbers since a few questions in UPSR
	are based on KBAR (Kemahiran
	Berfikir Aras Rendah) level.

Nurul enthused, “I would like to thank the organiser for giving me the
opportunity to share my first innovation— the HANONA Board which was created
in 2019. I hope this sharing session would inspire more people to initiate
more interesting innovations especially in the field of education.”

She said, “My innovation aims to focus on students who are weak in
Mathematics because they do not like complicated methods. They like to learn
in a way that is similar to playing a game. So this is where I got my
inspiration because I want to help them build their interest and master it.
Hence, for anyone who would like to try this method I would like to
encourage them to do so because I have tried it with my own students.” She
also shared how HANONA Board has helped not only the primary students but
the lower secondary students as well in mathematics.

She concluded her webinar with a short video that introduced her
innovation—the HANONA BOARD as a guidance for participants who wish to come
	up with their own ideas.

The webinar saw the participation of UTAR staff and students as well as the
	public.
