Performances bring thrills to e-Convo celebration

The UTAR e-Convocation made another successful comeback this year with more dazzling performances from both the students and alumni of UTAR. The e-Convocation featured various performances that showcased the beautiful talents of the UTAR community.

The e-Convocation this year was held on 20 March 2021. Many UTAR students and alumni came forward to show their love and support for the graduates by sending their video performances. It was indeed heartwarming to see so many UTARians put in great efforts to videotape their own performances. This initiative did not only showcase their talents but it also displayed their love and support for the fellow UTARians who were about to venture into another journey in life.

Most of these performances were recorded separately in the comfort of their homes before they were combined as tribute videos. This was to ensure that the standard of operation set by the government due to the Covid-19 is not breached.

The "da-dum-da-dum-da-dum" sound beat accompanied by the synchronous movement of the players simply added chills and thrills to the event.

He wished to promote the spirit of positivism and strive for self-improvement through the dance.  Sharing words of encouragement to his junior, he said, “This is the time for you to figure out where you want to go in your life and career; please remember that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to manage your life. You should find the right path as you focus and move forward. Don’t stop learning, keep reading and thinking and pursuing. Be positive!”
