The Malaysian Timber Council (MTC) conducted a
webinar under the Digital Marketing Entrepreneurship Programme (DMEP) titled
"E-Commerce for Timber Industry" for stakeholders in the timber industry on
16 August 2021 online.
The programme started with welcome remarks by MTC
Chief Operations Officer Roger Chin to 142 attendees and it continued with
presentations by distinguished panellists from UTAR, namely Lee Kong Chian
Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES) Head of Programme for Master of
Information Systems Dr Wong Whee Yen and Faculty of Accountancy and
Management Deputy Dean for R&D and Postgraduate Programmes Dr Pok Wei Fong.
The DMEP Learning Module English is a programme
specially designed to provide training to Malaysian timber companies that
have the interest to complement their current marketing activities on
digital and e-commerce platforms.
