The objectives of the visit were to discuss and explore joint activities between the institutions for the benefit of staff and students at the Chinese independent school (CIS).

The two-hour discussion started with a speech by Low and Prof Ewe, followed by an information-sharing session between both representatives. During the meeting, the two sides held further discussions after agreeing to collaborate in potential areas, which included providing training to Pei Yuan High School staff in the areas of teaching and administrative work. The school also requested UTAR to assist them in developing software that would help them arrange their subject timetable.

As for students, both parties agreed to organise more activities, such as talks and workshops to promote knowledge and skills that may not be covered in the syllabus.
