A hybrid meeting via Microsoft
Teams was held between UTAR and the National Kaohsiung University of Science
and Technology (NKUST) on 23 August 2022.
The meeting was attended by

International Affairs, Cross-strait & Overseas Chinese Student Affairs
Luo-Lin Chen from NKUST; Division of Community and International Networking
(DCInterNet) Deputy Director Dr Chen I-Chi, Lee Kong Chian Faculty of
Engineering and Science (LKC FES) Head of PhD (Eng) and MEngSc Programmes
Assoc Prof Dr Tee Yee Kai, Faculty of Business and Finance (FBF) Head of
Postgraduate Programmes Dr Leong Lai Ying,Faculty of Engineering and Green
Technology (FEGT) Head of PhD (Engineering) Programme Dr Gobi Kanadasan and
staff from UTAR.
The visit aimed to build rapport
and promote mutual understanding between UTAR and NKUST. It also aimed to
discuss opportunities for future collaboration between both parties.
During the meeting, the university
representatives shared the introduction and background of each campus to
enhance each others’ understanding of the overall development of the two
universities. An in-depth discussion was carried out between the two parties
regarding possible areas of collaboration which included International PhD
Student Programmes, NKUST scholarships, staff and student exchanges,
internship programmes, study tours, etc.
