A sharing session by Hartamas
Group Head of Sales Nicholas Chan was held at Sungai Long Campus on 25
August 2022. Organised by the Faculty of Accountancy and Management
Department of Building and Property Management, the talk aimed to provide
students, especially from the Building and Property Management field,
exposure to the company and job opportunities related to real estate.
In the session, Nicholas Chan gave
an in-depth explanation about their company background and shared the
various aspects of the company. He said, “Hartamas provide services ranging
from marketing, project real estate, asset management, valuation,
consultancy, rental sales, academy and training as well as project
management.” He added, “We welcome students who are interested in gaining
work experience during their industrial attachment as well as students who
are graduating soon.”
He then spoke about the
qualifications of becoming a qualified real estate negotiator, procedures of
registration to be a real estate negotiator, challenges found in the field
of real estate, and some tips to be a real estate negotiator.
He advised, “Have passion in all
the things you pursue then you will put in the extra effort. You need to
persevere and be determined to be successful. In order to be successful, the
great ones never learned on their own. Learn from the best to be the best.
If you ever face any challenges, try to overcome them and learn from them
and never give up!”
The talk ended with a souvenir
presentation. It was followed by a lively quiz session, Q&A session and
photography session.
