UTAR participated in the 8th Sichuan Agricultural Expo that was launched on 2 December 2022 at Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China to enhance the University’s visibility and to explore future prospects for student recruitment.

Themed ‘Strengthening cooperation to promote consumption and open a new economic situation’, the expo saw five major exhibition areas, including the Sichuan Provincial and Municipal (Prefecture) Exhibition Hall, the Agricultural Cooperation Exhibition Hall, and the National Agricultural Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Exhibition Hall. The expo also saw the participation of nearly 2,000 exhibitors and more than 10,000 brands.

Trade Commissioner of Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) Chengdu Nur Azni Aziz said, “UTAR is one of the most prominent private universities in Malaysia. UTAR provides Foundation, Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, Master’s Degree, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes in diverse areas of study, including agriculture, business, engineering, information technology, medical and health sciences, and many others.”

Mac Xu Zhen, UTAR international student recruitment representative (ISRR) from Shanghai QR Education & Technology Co Ltd said, “The overall response of this expo was tremendous as prospective inquirers have expressed their interest in discovering more about UTAR.”
