Osama Nasir said that, “I'm highly adaptable and comfortable with both OTL
and physical class learning modes. I find it difficult at first when the
movement control order was enforced, but soon, I became accustomed to and
began to like OTL. The learning environment is very conducive, and I want to
thank the lecturers for always finding a way to solve problems and taking
charge of simulation practice.”
He added, “I moved here at the age of 17, and at first everything seemed
new, and I had culture shock since the culture and surroundings appear to be
different, but I am now able to blend well with the assistance of my friends
and the people around me. I would like to convey my heartfelt thanks to
UTAR, the SRC team, my friends, and everyone else who has supported me along
the way. As one of the UTAR ambassadors and chairperson of the International
Friendship Society, I would encourage newcomers to join any society that
interests them to maintain a balanced lifestyle while studying here.”

Ye said, “Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, I feel like everything is
slowly getting back to normal and this has become a new norm for me. I am
aware of the Malaysian government and the University’s latest announcement
that fully vaccinated students are allowed on campus. The University has
already put in place the standard operating procedures to ensure that
students who are back on campus are in a safe environment with strict checks
at entry points to the campus.
In addition to scanning MySejahtera, we also need to scan hi hive to enter the various offices and rooms on campus. I am fully satisfied with the University SOPs. Also, as an international student, I feel excited to be back on campus. I have the chance to interact with my lecturers and course mates face-to-face, have group discussions and chit chat while following physical distancing. I look forward to seeing more of my course mates and having an enjoyable campus life.”

“I am aware
that fully vaccinated students and
staff are allowed to enter the campus. The
University came up with the campus access guidelines for students to ensure
their safety within the campus. Students are required to strictly comply
with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain a safe and healthy
campus community. Moreover, teaching and learning are carried out via
hybrid and online modes so we are given options which is good for us
especially students like us who would like to go back to campus to meet our
lecturers. The University provides adequate
facilities that allow students to study in a safe and peaceful environment.
I like to be on campus as it provides me with a conducive environment for
better learning and the scenery on campus is beautiful,” said Rao.
