GDEX visits UTAR to discuss possible collaborations

A group of delegates from GD Express Sdn Bhd (GDEX) paid a visit to UTAR Sungai Long Campus on 15 February 2022. During the visit, a discussion was held between both parties to consider areas of collaboration.

The delegates from GDEX were its Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer Teong Teck Lean, Chief Strategy Officer John Teoh, Advisor Toh Kar Inn, Head of Training Department Thevan and Muhaimin from the Training Department.

Among the possible collaborations discussed at the meeting were internship programmes, joint training courses and talks. A proposal was also presented to GDEX about a joint research lab on shipment and logistics at UTAR. Furthermore, the meeting saw discussions on entry requirements and credit transfer requirements, where GDEX’s Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) certificate holders could further study at UTAR to obtain a degree in logistics. There was also a sharing of information about UTAR e-Commerce Fulfilment Centre and RFID Technology for possible collaboration.

The event ended with a souvenir presentation, followed by a group photography session.
