International Conference on Advances in Communication and Computing Technology

The International Conference on Advances in Communication & Computing Technology (ICACCT-2021) was held on 28 December 2021 via Google Meet.

The two-day virtual conference was organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College Bidar, India (GNDECB) in collaboration with UTAR and Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP).

UTAR President Ir Prof Dr Ewe Hong Tat was invited as the chief guest to speak at the inaugural ceremony.

Prof Ewe thanked GNDECB and said, “On behalf of UTAR, I would like to take this opportunity to extend my appreciation to Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College Bidar for me to be part of the inaugural ceremony of the two-day online International Conference on Advances in Communication & Computer Technology (ICACCT-2021). UTAR is proud to jointly organise this conference with Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College Bidar Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Universiti Teknologi Petronas.”

He added, “ICACCT-2021 serves as a platform for advanced and multi-disciplinary research towards the design of smart computing and informatics. This conference enables researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss not only the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns but also practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of networks, communication and computing.”

“I am glad to note that the sharing from renowned speakers, oral presentations, posters sessions and technical conferences related to the topics in the scientific programme will contribute to the body of knowledge in the areas of electronics, communication, computing, big data analytics, cybersecurity, quantum computing, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning and other related fields. This conference also serves as an excellent source of motivation for young researchers to discuss and share research outcomes, ideas, and knowledge that can overcome our national and global issues and advance on knowledge, research and technology for humanity,” Prof Ewe enthused.

The two-day conference featured keynote presentations, plenary sessions, symposiums and panel discussions. The keynote presentation saw Dr Lalan Kumar from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) presenting his keynote titled “Array Processing for Brain Source Localization with Applications”.

The conference brought together intellectuals, academics, researchers, specialists, educationists and participants from multi-disciplines to share knowledge and experiences, discuss, brainstorm and explore new possibilities for collaborative projects and new ways to improve the way people communicate.
