UTAR organised a leadership camp at SJK (C) Kg Baru Rahang, Seremban on 25 June 2022. The objective of the event was to hone the school children’s soft skills outside the classroom and promote a sense of enthusiasm for the idea of being a leader.

Involved in the leadership camp were four UTAR students, namely Er Ji Siang, Ayuni Zahirah binti Mohamad Rasidi, Thong Poh Ling and Kong Yong En. They introduced interactive games and activities to the school students.

A total of 46 students from SJK(C) Kg Baru Rahang participated in the leadership camp, including class monitors, school inspectors and librarians. Among the games held were ice-breaking games, “three-legged” games and “obstacle challenge”. It was a fun and fulfilling experience for the students to take part in the interactive games. Throughout the leadership camp, the students developed leadership qualities and teamwork skills.

According to the students, the camp was refreshing and stimulating. They also shared that it had been a while since they attended a physical camp. Hence, they faced some difficulties in communicating and coordinating between the teams. Despite those setbacks, they were able to learn from each other.
