Band-age music concert celebrates UTAR 20th Anniversary

In conjunction with UTAR’s 20th anniversary, the UTAR Turns 20 Series: Band-Age Music Concert was orchestrated by the UTAR Music Club on 25 June 2022 at the Multipurpose Hall of UTAR Sungai Long Campus. The concert was attended by UTARians, students from different universities and parents. The main objective of the concert was to celebrate UTAR’s 20th anniversary and provide an opportunity for students to wind down and enjoy some live-band performances by the Music Club.

The concert began with a speech from the Music Club advisor and Centre for Foundation Studies (CFS) lecturer, Ms Christina John, who thanked all the participants for attending. From there, the concert kicked off, with a total of 14 songs, performed by various members of the Music Club throughout the night. It consisted of a mix of Chinese, English and Japanese songs of different genres, such as pop, rock, Disney and anime music.

Some of the songs that were played include 荒野魂斗羅, Believer, Zen Zen Zense, “海闊天空”, It’s My Life, and Gurenge. At the end of the concert, a photography session with all the performers and the participants was held. Overall, the entire concert was a success, with all the participants having a fun time and the performers from the Music Club putting in exceptional music performances.
