Last year, the Federation has already donated 40,000 sets of PPE to UTAR Hospital. It is heartwarming to receive such a kind donation during the pandemic period.”

“T&CM Centre is conducting an experimental inpatient service, and it is expected to officially operate by next week. Nearly 95% of the construction of the medical centre has been completed and it is expected to be fully completed in August/September. The medical devices have also been moved into the medical centre. The medical centre is expected to begin its operation early next year,” he added.

Mr Koh hopes more people will contribute and support this meaningful initiative

Representing the Federation of Anxi Associations Malaysia, Mr Koh explained the purpose of the donation. He said, “In response to the call of our Advisor General, Datuk Lim Si Cheng, the Federation of Anxi Associations Malaysia conducted fundraising for UTAR Hospital and it received an enthusiastic response from 17 associations under the Federation. Thanks to that, it successfully raised RM500,000 in two months. We come together to raise funds for UTAR Hospital and we hope that this donation will serve as a good starting point to attract more support and contribution. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Lee Kiong, our Vice President of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur Branch, who donated and contributed a lot to the fundraising. He donated a total of RM550,000; RM50,000 was counted as part of the Federation’s donation, while another RM500,000 was personally donated to UTAR Hospital.”
