Exploring business beyond boundaries  

A forum titled “Exploring Business Beyond Boundaries” was organised by the Centre for Foundation Studies (Kampar Campus) on 22 November 2022 at DDK2, Block D, UTAR Kampar Campus. 

The objective of the forum was exposed the students in understanding the nature of the various business-related Bachelor programmes offered in UTAR as well as their differences. It also aimed to assist them in selecting the right and suitable bachelor programme for their future. 

The forum started with the first speaker, Faculty of Business and Finance Head of Department for Business and Public Administration Dr Siti Fazilah Abdul Shukor. She presented her input on the importance of Business Administration, Public Administration, and Healthcare Management programmes. The second speaker was Head of Department of Entrepreneurship and Supply Chain Management Ng Yin Kuan. She shared significant aspects of Entrepreneurship and Supply Chain Management. The next speaker was Head of Department of Commerce and Accountancy Sonia Johanthan, who shared her thoughts on Commerce Accounting.

The forum continued with the fourth speaker, Dr Kuah Yoke Chin who highlighted the Finance course. The fifth speaker, Head of Department of Banking and Risk Management Chong Tun Pin shared his views and requirements for Banking and Risk Management courses, while Head of Department of Economics Thavamalar Ganapathy clarified matters on Economics. The forum then concluded with the last speaker, Head of Department of Marketing Choy Johnn Yee who shared essential information on Marketing, Destinations Tourism, Retail Management courses.

After a Q&A session, the forum ended with the presentation of certificates by CFS Kampar Campus Deputy Director for Student Affairs and Development Lim Khiew Loon to all the speakers. Lim also thanked them for sharing their valuable time in providing useful information to all the participants.
