UTAR Education Foundation (UEF) received a donation of RM22,040 for its hospital project from the Lions Club of Kampar and Tanjung Tualang at UTAR Kampar Campus on 3 October 2022. 

Representing the Lions Club of Kampar in presenting the cheque to UTAR was President of Lions Club of Kampar Winnie Cho Pow Chuan, accompanied by UTAR Faculty of Engineering and Green Technology (FEGT) Head of Department of Construction Management and Secretary of Lions Club of Kampar Dr Kwan Wai Hoe, Zone Chairperson of Lions Club of Kampar Lee Kam Yuen, Committee Member of Lions Club of Kampar Chang Gwo Chyang, and Committee Members of Lions Club of Tanjung Tualang Hoo Kim Low and Kong Siew Kan.

The cheque was received by UTAR Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations Prof Dr Choong Chee Keong. Prof Choong thanked the Committee Members of the Lions Club of Kampar for their support and contribution to the Hospital. He added the donation will greatly benefit the Hospital.

The donation of RM22,040 was raised via a fundraising dinner jointly organised by the Lions Club of Tanjung Tualang and Lions Club of Kampar on 26 August 2022 at Wong Restaurant Tanjung Tualang. Ho Foong, a famous charity star singer in Malaysia and his team were the key persons who successfully presented a singing concert on the night.
