UTHM visits to exchange entrepreneurship knowledge

A group of delegates from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) paid a visit to UTAR Sungai Long Campus on 27 September 2022.

The delegates consisted of UTHM Faculty of Technology Management and Business Dean Prof Dr Wan Fauziah Wan Fauzi; UTHM Faculty of Technology Management and Business Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni Relations Dr Sabariah binti Eni; UTHM Faculty of Technology Management and Business, Department of Business Management lecturers Dr Umi Kartini binti Rashid and Ts Dr Mohd Hilmi Izwan bin Abd Rahim; UTHM Faculty of Technology Management and Business students Najwa Hani binti Mohd Amin and Mohammad Alif Mifzal bin Azman Shah.

They were welcomed by UTAR R&D and Commercialisation Vice President Prof Ts Dr Faidz bin Abd Rahman; Unovate Centre Head Dr Lee Sheng Chyan; Unovate Centre (Sungai Long Campus) Manager Lee Yan Yin; Unovate Centre (Kampar Campus) Assistant Managers Esther Thien Pik Kim and Neoh Shi Yii; Faculty of Accountancy and Management lecturer Dr Seah Choon Sen; Incubatee from Unovate Centre, Founder of Ottermate Tech Wooi Zhuang Ru; Unipreneur from Unovate Centre, Founder of Clothing Made Better Jayden Sue Jun Hong and Founder of E-sport Coaching Platform Chong Jia Kiuk.

The objective of the visit was to exchange knowledge on entrepreneurship at Unovate Centre. Dr Lee shared Unovate Centre’s services and past activities such as entrepreneurial talks, flea markets, business plan competitions, and past achievements of the incubatees and unipreneurs with the delegates. He also explained the digital entrepreneurship ecosystem at UTAR which comprises the UTAR E-marketplace, E-Commerce Fulfilment Centre and Delivery Centre.

Next, Incubatees and Unipreneurs from the Unovate Centre, Wooi, Jayden Sue and Chong shared their projects and entrepreneurial journeys with the delegates.


A visit to the ABC Beverage Station – a Unipreneur project, Unipreneurs’ business showcase and E-commerce Fulfilment Centre

The visit came to an end after the delegates made their final tour to the Unipreneurs’ business showcase, E-commerce Fulfilment Centre and the ABC Beverage Station – a Unipreneur project.
