Tails of the Forgotten 2022

Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 15: Life on Land, a course-based event titled Tails of the Forgotten was organised by 24 passionate final-year Bachelor of Corporate Communication (Honours) students in Zoo Negara, Malaysia on 27 August 2022. The event aimed to raise public awareness of endangered species in Malaysia.

Participants during the event

Several knowledge-based games such as Guess the Animal, Bucket of Ball, Water Game, Throw Your Luck, etc, and informative booths related to endangered animals were arranged for the participants at the event. Over 80 participants, comprising UTAR students and the public, attended the event. They were seen having fun learning about the endangered species at the booths.

Project Advisor Jullian Khor said, “As the event slogan states ‘Cherish before they Vanish’, I hope this event would benefit the participants and our team to have a better understanding about the endangered species and provide them an opportunity to get up close to the endangered animals.”

Tails of The Forgotten 2022 was organised in collaboration with Zoo Negara and in partnership with Co2_carbondioksida, a talented duo who creates sculptures (baby tapir and sea turtle) from waste materials.
