Aligned with Sustainable
Development Goal 15: Life on Land, a course-based event titled Tails of the
Forgotten was organised by 24 passionate final-year Bachelor of Corporate
Communication (Honours) students in Zoo Negara, Malaysia on 27 August 2022.
The event aimed to raise public awareness of endangered species in Malaysia.

Several knowledge-based games such
as Guess the Animal, Bucket of Ball, Water Game, Throw Your Luck, etc, and
informative booths related to endangered animals were arranged for the
participants at the event. Over 80 participants, comprising UTAR students
and the public, attended the event. They were seen having fun learning about
the endangered species at the booths.
Project Advisor Jullian Khor said,
“As the event slogan states ‘Cherish before they Vanish’, I hope this event
would benefit the participants and our team to have a better understanding
about the endangered species and provide them an opportunity to get up close
to the endangered animals.”
Tails of The Forgotten 2022 was
organised in collaboration with Zoo Negara and in partnership with
Co2_carbondioksida, a talented duo who creates sculptures (baby tapir and
sea turtle) from waste materials.
