The UTAR STEM Outreach organised a two-hour workshop
titled “The Heart Touching Moment 2.0” on 18 March 2023 at UTAR Sungai Long
Campus. The workshop received a total of 11 participants, aged five to seven
years old, who were present along with their parents.
The workshop included a session in which the children
were introduced to the circulatory system. The children were also given a
chance to try their hands at various exploratory activities such as
listening to the heartbeat, dissecting the heart of a goat, assembling the
organs in the human model and making a heart keychain.
The activities were conducted along with their parents.
The objective of the workshop was to increase the
children’s interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics
(STEM) by giving them an opportunity to engage in STEM-related activities.
