Hitting the endorphins at Zombie Run 2023

UTAR Engineering in Medicine and Biology (EMB) Student Chapter and UTAR First Aid Society, also known as Pacemakers UTAR SLC, joined hands with UTAR Department of Student Affairs (DSA) to organise Zombie Run 2023 on 16 July 2023 from 6.30 am to 2.00 pm at Sungai Long Campus.

Also joining the Zombie Run was UTAR Vice President for Internationalisation and Academic Development Ir Prof Dr Goi Bok Min, UTAR Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations Prof Dr Choong Chee Keong, Department of Mechatronics and BioMedical Engineering Head Ir Dr Goh Choon Hian, DSA Head Loh Nyuk Leung, and First Aid Society Chairperson Loke Edi Son.

Before the flag-off, participants were required to do an aerobic exercise for 10 minutes to improve their endurance. The participants were enjoying while performing the aerobic exercises.

The participants had the time of their lives; some were seen jogging, while others were sprinting, and dashing to get to the finish line. On top of that, there were also lots of interactive games, performances and lucky draw sessions prepared for the participants. The Zombie Run ended with a souvenir presentation to fellow sponsors.

Alongside the fun and interactive six-kilometre run, a bazaar was also set up for the public. Furthermore, live performances were also held along with a market selling varieties of foods and souvenirs. On top of that, the “Pacemakers: Zombie Run 2023 Carnival” which led into a mystery room that required participants to investigate on a paranormal phenomenon in the room in order to find the passcode to escape the room, was arranged alongside many other games.
