The UTAR STEM Outreach organised STEM Talk at three secondary schools in
Miri, Sarawak. On 3 August 2023, STEM Outreach Head Dr Ong Kiah Ju delivered
a talk titled, STEM Education and Future, to 150 Form Three students and
teachers from SMK Dato Permaisuri Miri, Sarawak.
Dr Ong’s talk included a variety of topics such as the changing world, the
industrial revolution, future jobs, skills needed in the future and STEM
education.

On 4 August 2023, Dr Ong gave a talk to 70 Form Three students and teachers
at SMK Merbau, Miri, Sarawak and 150 Form Three
students at SMK Pujut, Miri, Sarawak. The talk, titled STEM Education &
Future, addressed matters pertaining to the changing world, the industrial
revolution, STEM education, and relevant skills in future.
