The Rejimen Askar Jurutera DiRaja
Recruitment & Exhibition, organised by the UTAR Askar Wataniah Club in
collaboration with Rejimen Askar Jurutera Diraja (RAJD), took place on 20
and 21 November 2023 at Sungai Long Campus. The event aimed to educate
students on the diverse career opportunities available within military
engineering and facilitate recruitment efforts for RAJD, besides offering a
platform for students to engage with professionals in the field.

were Kapt Syamil Hafizi bin Zainodin, SSjn Hazly Azhar bin Ab Kadir SSjn
Farit bin Jamal and other RAJD militaries. Also present were UTAR Vice
President for Student Development and Alumni Relations Prof Dr Choong Chee
Keong, UTAR Askar Wataniah Club Advisor Dr Woon Kai Siong, Department of
Student Affairs (Sungai Long Campus) Assistant Manager Mr Mohd Alfiha bin
Mat Tarihan and students.
The event featured recruitment
booths and interactive exhibits. The students had the opportunity to
interact with the RAJD officers at the booths. They learned the enlistment
process and gained a deeper understanding of the roles and responsibilities
associated with military engineering. Many expressed their interest to join
the regiment.

The event garnered significant
attention, reflecting the growing interest in military engineering careers
among UTAR students. Attendee feedback indicated a high level of
satisfaction, emphasising the value of direct interaction with professionals
and the practical insights gained. In conclusion, the Rejimen Askar Jurutera
DiRaja Recruitment & Exhibition successfully achieved its aim of fostering
collaboration, career exploration, and knowledge exchange between UTAR
students and the military engineering sector.
