The Faculty of Accountancy and Management (FAM) 
	organised the “3MP & 5MP and Poster Competition” on 13 and 14 December 2023 
	at Sungai Long Campus. The competition was sponsored by VCG Cheras 
	(Vivahomes Cheras Group).
The assessment for the Poster Competition took place 
	on 13 December 2023. It was conducted by several judges including FAM 
	academic Prof Sr Dr Anuar bin Alias, Department of Soft Skills Competency of 
	Sungai Long Campus academic Puan Nurzanatul Amira binti Azizan and Centre 
	for Extension Education Head of Business Development and Administration & 
	Operation Unit Ms Joleena Chong binti Mohamad Chong.
The judges for the Presentation Competition were VCG 
	Cheras Head of Team Mr Jason Lee Jie Sheng, Eramas Plantations Director Mr 
	KC Chan and Mubarak Energy Sdn Bhd Managing Director Encik Norol Aizam Md 
	Nor.

FAM Dean Dr Pok Wei Fong said, “The primary objective 
	of this competition is to enhance students’ written communication skills by 
	transforming complex content into concise and straightforward presentations. 
	Participants are tasked with creating short and simple presentations that 
	effectively convey the intended message within a time frame of one minute. 
	The goal is to capture the audience’s interest swiftly, teaching 
	participants how to communicate effectively and connect with people’s minds 
	in a brief period, ensuring clear and impactful presentations.”
As for the 3MP & 5MP competition, 3MP was designed 
	for postgraduate students while 5MP was intended for undergraduate students. 
	A total of eleven finalists, consisting of five postgraduates and six 
	undergraduates, were selected to present their final-year projects in the 
	form of one picture slide, within three minutes and five minutes 
	respectively. The champion of the Poster and 3MP & 5MP Competition walked 
	away with a cash prize of RM150 and certificates while the first and second 
	runner-ups took home RM100 and RM50 respectively, with certificates. The 
	winner of the Most Popular Poster was awarded RM100 and a certificate.
