Clash of UTARians 2023 showcases athletic excellence and campus unity

The much-anticipated annual sporting event, the Clash of UTARians, unfolded at UTAR Kampar Campus on 5 November 2023 between the Sungai Long teams and the Kampar teams. Organised by UTAR Department of Student Affairs, the event brought together students from both campuses for a day of intense competition and camaraderie.

The event, which attracted a total of 104 participants from Sungai Long and Kampar Campuses, commenced at 10:00 AM and continued until 3:00 PM. The main venues for the various competitions were the Grand Kampar Sports Complex and the UTAR Kampar Gymnasium. The Grand Kampar Sports Complex hosted competitions such as Futsal, Volleyball (Men and Women), and Frisbee, while the Table Tennis matches were held at UTAR Kampar Gymnasium.

Following the fierce competition, participants gathered at the cafeteria area of UTAR Kampar Campus for a well-deserved lunch provided by the organisers. Furthermore, a prize-giving ceremony was held to acknowledge participants’ outstanding performance and sportsmanship. At 3:00 PM, participants from Sungai Long Campus bid farewell to Kampar and headed back to their campus, concluding the day.

The Clash of UTARians 2023 proved to be a dynamic and successful event, showcasing exceptional athletic talent and fostering a sense of unity among students from both campuses. Sungai Long Campus emerged as the overall champion, securing victories in Futsal, Volleyball (Men), and Table Tennis sports. The event not only celebrated athletic prowess but also reinforced the strong bond within the UTAR community.
