UTAR begins strategic partnership with REVA University of India

UTAR forged a partnership with REVA University of India through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 11 January 2023 via Zoom.

The MoU was signed by UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat and REVA University of India Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M. Dhanamjaya. The signing was witnessed by UTAR Vice President for Internationalisation and Academic Development Ir Prof Dr Goi Bok Min, UTAR Faculty of Engineering and Green Technology (FEGT) Dean Ir Prof Dr Ng Choon Aun, REVA University of India Registrar Prof Dr N. Ramesh and REVA University of India International Relations and Research Collaborations Director Prof Ts Dr P. Visweswara Rao.

Established in 2004, REVA University is one of the top 50 private universities in India. With its innovative and technology-based pedagogy, exemplary infrastructure and programmes that are designed for the future job market, REVA University has grown from a small community of 150 students in 2004 to an institution with 15,000 students today who share the vision of achieving new milestones in modern education.

In his remarks, Prof Dato’ Ewe said, “With this MoU, UTAR FEGT and REVA University will officially begin the strategic partnership to initiate joint projects, staff and student exchanges, study visits, industrial placement opportunities and co-supervision of the postgraduate studies. The MoU will enable us to work even more closely in creating platforms which will enrich both staff and students’ academic experience, as well as empower them to explore learning opportunities beyond the classrooms.”

Looking forward to the close cooperation with UTAR, Prof M. Dhanamjaya enthused, “REVA University is a growing university. Through this MoU, we can cooperate and coordinate on various aspects, programmes and research programmes. I firmly believe that our cooperation with UTAR will go a long way.”

Also present at the virtual signing ceremony were UTAR Institute of Postgraduate Studies and Research, Kampar Campus Deputy Director Prof Dr Sumathi Sethupathi, UTAR Division of Community and International Networking Director Assoc Prof Dr Lai Soon Onn, academics and staff from both universities.
