FEGT students receive scholarships from Intel
Two Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Electronic Engineering students from Faculty of Engineering and Green Technology (FEGT) were granted scholarships by Intel Corporation. The scholarship includes coverage for the recipient's yearly tuition fees, as well as the provision of a career opportunity with Intel after graduation.
One of the scholarship recipients, Cham Cheng Lim said, “I am truly honoured to have this opportunity to share my journey, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude for receiving a scholarship from Intel Corporation, one of the largest companies in the semiconductor industry. I knew that this scholarship was an opportunity of a lifetime, and I will work hard to showcase my potential and secure the scholarship.”
“Looking back, I am grateful for the lessons I learned throughout this journey. It taught me the importance of perseverance, resilience, and maintaining a growth mindset when faced with difficulties. I am immensely grateful to my lecturers, especially Ir Chan Cheong Leong, and my academic advisor, who provided invaluable assistance, not just in academics but also in the application process. I also extend my sincere gratitude to Intel Corporation. Your belief in my potential and your generous support have made a profound impact on my life. I am honoured to be chosen as a recipient of this scholarship, and I am committed to making the most of this opportunity”, Cham added.
Another recipient, Lee Yan Shen, said, “I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to apply for the scholarship. It taught me a valuable lesson about seizing opportunities, and ultimately, I succeeded in being awarded the scholarship by Intel. Overwhelming joy and gratitude filled my heart because this scholarship not only relieves my financial burdens in pursuing my degree, but also provides additional resources for my personal growth.”
Lee added, “I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to my family and friends, who have always supported me throughout this journey. I am immensely grateful for their unwavering support. I would also like to extend my appreciation to my respected lecturers, especially Dr Lee Yu Jen, the Head of Department of Electronic Engineering, for their invaluable guidance and assistance during the application process. Lastly, to Intel Corporation, I want to express my deepest appreciation because your confidence in my abilities and kind assistance have had a significant impact on my life. It is truly an honour to receive this scholarship, and I am committed to making the most of this opportunity. I vow to utilise it fully, striving for excellence in my academic pursuits and personal growth. Once again, I am truly grateful for the support and opportunities that have brought me to this point in my journey.”
