Aimed at preparing potential internal auditors and equipping them with the understanding of ISO 9001:2015 requirements for implementation, UTAR Department of Internal Audit (DIA) organised an ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditors’ Training at its Sungai Long Campus from 12 to 13 April 2023. The training was delivered by Ir. Prof. Dr. Rajkumar a/l Durairaj, Dean (Academic Quality Assurance and Audit).

Throughout the two-day training, participants were introduced to the audit methodology with respect to the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. They were prepared and equipped with knowledge on how to plan and prepare for the actual audits.

The participants acquired background knowledge on ISO 9001, an overview of the ISO 9001:2015 structure, certification process, audit approach and some tips on handling an audit session.

A total of 22 staff from various faculties and departments participated in the training.
