Social trip to Belum Rainforest Resort

The Department of Alumni Relations and Placement (DARP) of UTAR Sungai Long Campus organised a local trip to Belum Rainforest resort from 3 June 2023 to 5 June 2023 for the alumni of UTAR. The purpose of the trip was to foster social connections among UTAR alumni and provide them with a memorable experience. A total of 37 participants, including 21 alumni, eight staff members, six family members of alumni, and two staff in duty, joined the trip.

Throughout the trip, the participants indulged in a diverse array of activities, including bamboo rafting, observing rafflesia and wildlife, jungle trekking, and visiting a picturesque waterfall. The participants were completely enthralled by the breathtaking beauty of the natural surroundings, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the enchanting wonders of the rainforest.

The trip not only offered exciting activities and breathtaking scenery to the participants, but it also offered them a delightful culinary experience. The participants were treated to a wide range of delicious and satisfying meals, ensuring their gastronomic satisfaction throughout the journey.

The dining facilities at the resort provided an extensive selection of both local and international cuisine, catering to diverse dietary preferences and guaranteeing a memorable culinary adventure for everyone. The flavoursome traditional Malaysian delicacies and mouth-watering international dishes surpassed expectations, leaving participants in awe of the culinary offerings. Each mealtime presented an opportunity for participants to relish the region’s rich and authentic flavours, turning it into a truly delightful experience.

Throughout the trip, participants not only took pleasure in engaging activities and awe-inspiring scenery but also had the chance to establish new connections, forge enduring memories, and reconnect with old acquaintances. Looking ahead, it is advisable to continue organising similar outings while incorporating additional team-building endeavours to further strengthen the bonds among participants. Undoubtedly, the UTAR Alumni Local Social Trip to Belum Rainforest Resort left an indelible mark on everyone involved, offering an unparalleled and gratifying experience.
