Visit by EMGS

The Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) visited UTAR Kampar Campus on 14 June 2023, with the aim to share and discuss strategies that will help in nurturing young talents to contribute towards the growth and development of Malaysia, as well as to look into potential collaborations with local and international institutions and promote UTAR’s quality education to the mass public both locally and internationally.

The guests from EMGS were Chairman of the Board of Directors Dr Abdul Razak bin Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Novie bin Tajuddin, Market Manager Esther Low, and Communication and Branding Marketing Manager Moeen Uddin.

Prof Dato’ Ewe started with a brief introduction to UTAR’s history and progress. He also spoke about UTAR students’ lives in Kampar, and the facilities available at UTAR. He then elaborated on UTAR’s various programmes that have been implemented in classroom settings and community activities to enhance students’ learning and experience. He also thanked EMGS for facilitating the process of UTAR’s student exchange programmes.

Dr Abdul Razak emphasising the role of EMGS in assisting higher tertiary educational institutions

Dr Abdul Razak also expressed his appreciation and support towards the course that UTAR has been championing, especially in providing quality education. He regarded UTAR as an institution with a high moral purpose, and complimented UTAR for its effort in engaging the community as part of its educational objectives. He also said that the role of EMGS is more than supporting educational institutions; it is also to promote the best of Malaysia in various aspects.

Followed after was a testimonial shared by Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Environmental) with Honours student Irene Scarlet from Indonesia. She is currently in her final year and is enrolling under FEGT. She shared her experience studying at UTAR and living in Kampar, and thanked UTAR for providing this educational opportunity to her.

The visit then ended with lunch and a tour of the Kampar Campus and UTAR Hospital.
