The Traditional and Complementary Medicine (T&CM) Centre was graced with the presence of Madam Looi Mun Wah and her spouse Mr Hiew Voon Hoi, who were present to deliver a personal donation of RM100,000 to UTAR Hospital on 6 March 2023.

Madam Looi, who is currently a pensioner, has served as a headmistress in various schools for 21 years. Her longest posting as a headmistress was in SJK(C) Thung Hon, Tanjung Tualang, where she served for more than nine years and her last posting was in SJK(C) Phui Ying, Simpang Pulai. Meanwhile, Mr Hiew, who is now also a pensioner, previously worked in the private sector.

They were accompanied by UTAR Council Members Mr Hew Fen Yee and Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Ong Ka Chuan, and were welcomed by UTAR Hospital CEO and Medical Director Prof Dr Lau Hui-Ping and UTAR Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations Prof Dr Choong Chee Keong. They had a brief discussion and tour around the T&CM Centre.
