UTAR and Infinity Logistics & Transport Sdn
Bhd entered into collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) which aimed at fostering greater collaboration between
the logistics industry and the academia on 20 March 2023 at Infinity Freight
Village, Port Klang.
Gracing the MoU signing ceremony were Mr
Vijayaindiaran R Viswalingam, Assistant General Manager, Port Klang
Authority and
Infinity Logistics & Transport Sdn Bhd Chairman Tan Sri
Datuk Nelson Tan Jyh Yaong.
Signing the MoU were UTAR President Ir Prof
Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat and Infinity Logistics & Transport Sdn Bhd Managing
Director Dato’ Seri Chan Kong Yew while witnessing the signing of the
documents were UTAR Vice President for Internationalisation and Academic
Development Ir Prof Dr Goi Bok Min and Infinity Logistics & Transport Sdn
Bhd Executive Director Dato’ Ethan Kwan.
Under the collaboration, UTAR and
Infinity Logistics &
Transport Sdn Bhd will initiate joint projects involving collaborative research projects,
consultancy projects and joint talent training programme. Apart from that,
both parties will work together to foster industry-academic cooperation to
jointly organise seminars, conference, workshops as well as facilitate the
industrial placement of UTAR students.

Mr Vijayaindiaran said, “I would like to
congratulate Infinity Logistics and UTAR for collaborating and making
today’s ceremony meaningful. The pandemic has taught us a lot; transformed
the way we do work and the way we carry out our jobs as we rely heavily on
digital platforms. We will ensure that our corporation will extend its
support all the way.”
Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe, President of UTAR
said, “UTAR believes in the collaboration between industry and academics as
such collaboration is the key to technological innovation and growth that
provide solutions to meet the needs of society and develop an agile and
competent talent pool to meet the rigorous demand of the tech sector in the
future.”
