UTAR signs pact with Mysyntec Technology Sdn Bhd

UTAR and Mysyntec Technology Sdn Bhd signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) at UTAR Sungai Long Campus on 27 April 2023. The MoU was signed by UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat and Mysyntec Technology Sdn Bhd Country Manager Siah Boon Hong. It was witnessed by UTAR Institute of Postgraduate Studies and Research Director Assoc Prof Dr Yong Thian Khok and Mysyntec Technology Sdn Bhd Administrative Executive Tey Zhi Lin.

Under the agreement, UTAR and Mysyntec Technology Sdn Bhd will work together for the development of robotic arm applications which has the potential to improve efficiency, productivity and safety in manufacturing, healthcare and other sectors.

Prof Dato’ Ewe said, “Industry-academia collaboration is critical in promoting innovation and addressing the most pressing challenges faced by our society. By working together, academia can leverage its research expertise to develop cutting-edge technologies and solutions, while industry can bring its resources, expertise and real-world experience to the table which will benefit not only our two organisations but also the wider community.”

I hope to see this collaboration succeed and go well.  I look forward to having many more collaborations with UTAR to bring benefit to society and advance in research and technology,” said Siah as he introduced Mysyntec Technology Sdn Bhd.
