UTAR Staff Inter-Department Friendly Bowling Match

UTAR Staff Sports and Recreation Club (USSRC) of Sungai Long Campus organised the “UTAR Staff Inter-Department Bowling Match 2023” on 6 May 2023 at Wangsa Bowl, IOI City Mall, Putrajaya.

The friendly match saw a total of 100 participants consisting of both academic and non-academic staff from Sungai Long Campus. They were separated into twenty-five teams. The aims of the bowling match were to encourage teamwork, boost morale and build camaraderie between staff members. The match was also held to select outstanding players to represent the Sungai Long team in the upcoming inter-campus bowling match. The inter-campus bowling match will be held on 20 May 2023 at Bangi Gateway.

Also present at the match were UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat, Vice President for Internationalisation and Academic Development Ir Prof Dr Goi Bok Min, Vice President for R&D and Commercialisation Prof Ts Dr Faidz bin Abd Rahman, Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations Prof Dr Choong Chee Keong, Registrar Loh Siaw Yien and staff.

The champion of the bowling match walked away with a trophy and a medal each; the first runner-up and second runner-up winners walked away with a medal each. The Best Bowler Woman and Man walked away with a hamper each. Lastly, the Most Courageous Player walked away with a Huawei gift package.

The prizes were sponsored by UTAR President’s Office Senior General Manager Yim Lin Heng, Department Student Affairs Head of Sungai Long Campus Loh Nyuk Leung and the Department of Safety and Security of Sungai Long Campus.
