UTAR strengthens ties with Kuen Cheng High School

A group of delegates from UTAR paid a visit to Kuen Cheng High School on 9 May 2023 to strengthen the cooperative relationship and expand the scope of cooperation between both parties.

Led by UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat, the delegation was comprised of Vice President for Internationalisation and Academic Development Ir Prof Dr Goi Bok Min, Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES) Dean Assoc Prof Ts Dr Yap Wun She, Institute of Chinese Studies Dean Assoc Prof Dr Chong Siou Wei, Division of Community and International Networking Director Assoc Prof Dr Lai Soon Onn, STEM Outreach Head Dr Ong Kiah Ju, Division of Programme Promotion Director Lee Choy Fong and Division of Programme Promotion Assistant Manager Liew Wei San.

They were welcomed by Kuen Cheng High School Principal Datin Chua Lee Lee, Kuen Cheng High School Vice Principal Koo Lai Ping, Administrator Chong Siew Fah and teachers, namely Loh Hoi Yuen, Tan Huei Chee, Ooi Hun Huang, Kang Ruey Chyi, Tan Yong Chin, Lim Sook Fong, Hee Siaw Fuey, Ng Li San, and Chong Sau Hor. Also present were Yu Cai Foundation representatives.

Datin Chua thanked UTAR for cultivating talents in various industries. Prof Dato’ Ewe, on the other hand, expressed his intention to maintain the cooperation between both institutions for the development of students and academics. He also hopes to explore more areas of cooperation in the near future.
