The Drone Experience Workshop was a collaborative effort by UTAR STEM
Outreach Committee, Division of Programme Promotion (DPP), and Lee Kong
Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES). This workshop catered to
40 students on 11 October 2023 at SMK Bandar Baru Sungai Long, and was led
by academics and student assistants from LKC FES. The workshop was
facilitated by LKC FES academic Dr Kwan Ban Hoe.
During the workshop, the students received an introduction to various drone
types, learned about the principles behind drone operations, and explored
the practical applications of drones. They were also given hands-on
experience with drones, including launching, navigating obstacles, reaching
a designated location, and safely landing the drones in their hands.
