To foster social connections
among UTAR alumni, students and staff, the Department of Alumni Relations
and Placement (DARP) organised an overseas trip to Danang, Vietnam from 19
October 2023 to 23 October 2023. The trip, which saw a total of 22
participants, was also organised to foster a strong networking and bonding
experience for the participants.
The trip featured visits to numerous historic and cultural landmarks in
Danang, offering an opportunity for alumni and staff to connect and relive
their university memories. Among the places they visited were the Hoi An
Ancient Town, the Cam Thanh Village, the Tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh, the Sun
World Bana Hills, the Danang Dragon Bridge, and the Marble Mountain and
Non-Nuoc Stone Carving Village.
The five-day trip to Danang, Vietnam provided a memorable and enriching
experience for the 22 participants. Moreover, the trip helped to foster a
sense of camaraderie among them. The visits to the historical sites,
villages, and modern attractions provided participants with a well-rounded
perspective of Danang’s past and present, allowing them to discover the rich
cultural heritage of the region.
Overall, the trip was a resounding success, and the participants
expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to explore Danang’s beauty.
