Visit by Van Lang University, Vietnam

UTAR Sungai Long Campus received a visit from the delegates of the Van Lang University, Vietnam on 6 November 2023. The purpose of the visit was to discuss possible collaborations between the two universities.

The delegates were President of Van Lang University Prof Tran Thi My Dieu, Vice President of Van Lang University Dr Bui Pham Lan Phuong and Van Lang Group Chief Executive Officer Mr Hoang Son Dien.

Representatives from UTAR were UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat, Dean of M. Kandiah Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Senior Prof Academician Emeritus Prof Dr Cheong Soon Keng, Dean of Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES) Assoc Prof Ts Dr Yap Wun She, Dean of Faculty of Accountancy and Management (FAM) Dr Pok Wei Fong, Faculty of Creative Industries (FCI) Deputy Dean for R&D and Postgraduate Programmes Dr Cynthia Lau Pui-Shan, FCI Deputy Dean for Student Development and Industrial Training Ts Dr Ang Kok Yew and Director of Centre for Extension Education Assoc Prof Ir Dr Lim Jee Hock.

Prof Dato’ Ewe welcomed the delegates and shared a brief introduction about UTAR. Both university representatives were later seen discussing topics such as student and staff exchange programmes, joint research collaboration, study tours, joint events, conferences and so on.
