MoU exchange between UTAR and Jilin Medical University

UTAR and Jilin Medical University had a memorandum of understanding (MoU) exchange ceremony on 8 November 2023 at UTAR Sungai Long Campus. The signatories of the MoU were UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat and Jilin Medical University President Prof Cai Jianhui. Prof Cai, however, was represented by the Secretary of the Party Committee, Mr Li Cai at the exchange ceremony.

This MoU will pave the way for a wide array of transformative ventures between the two universities. These ventures will encompass exchanges between teachers and students, collaborative research projects, cooperation in teaching activities, academic conferences, seminars, internships and other academic activities.

Prof Dato’ Ewe said, “The signing of this MoU signifies the commitment of both universities to collaborate in advancing education, academia, and research. In our future partnership, we will leverage our strengths to pursue mutual development and benefit. I am confident that our effort will yield significant outcomes, fostering not only cooperation but also enhancing the friendship between Malaysia and China, and contributing to society.”

Mr Li said, “We have great confidence in our collaboration with UTAR. In our future partnership, we envision a multifaceted and broad-ranging approach, encompassing various aspects, including running teaching programmes, facilitating teacher and student exchanges, engaging in scientific research cooperation, and jointly contributing to fostering the friendly relationship between our two countries. I extend a warm invitation to President Ewe, as well as the distinguished experts and scholars present, to visit our university and extend our friendship across time and space. I sincerely hope for the continued growth and success of UTAR, as well as the prosperity of our collaborative efforts between the two universities.”

Other Jilin Medical University representatives present at the ceremony were Division of Human Resource Director Prof Feng Bo, Division of International Exchange Director Prof Gao Juntao, Foreign Affairs Office Xing Yingwen, Southeast Asia Representative Office of Liaoyuan Municipal People’s Government Chief Representative Li Yaoqiu, and International Exchange Representative Jin He.
