A memorandum of understanding
(MoU) signing ceremony was held between UTAR and the Yellow River
Conservancy Technical Institute, China (YRCTI) on 10 November 2023 at Sungai
Long Campus. The signatories were UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong
Tat and YRCTI President Dr Hu Hao.

Prof Dato’ Ewe said, “Through this
MoU, we will carry out joint international scientific research projects and
joint talent training programmes. These collaborations will provide students
with a broader development platform and opportunities, while also providing
the faculty with deeper academic development and opportunities for research
collaboration.”
He added, “The signing of this
memorandum of understanding means that we will work together to promote the
progress and development of education, academic and scientific research. I
look forward to creating greater value for the academic community through
cooperation between the two parties after today’s signing ceremony, and also
contributing to the friendship and society between the two countries.”

Dr Hu said, “With this MoU, UTAR
and YRCTI both can complement each other, improve and develop with each
other. At the same time, we will utilise our respective advantages and reach
a consensus on cooperation in terms of exchanging teachers and students,
academic exchanges, joint creation of various projects, and joint training
of students. I hope we can explore more cooperation opportunities, build a
broader platform and provide opportunities for the youth of China and
Malaysia.”
