Prof Dato’ Ewe emphasising UTAR’s effort to make student life more accessible

Prof Dato’ Ewe said, “Transportation plays a crucial role in the lives of our students. It is not just a means of getting from one place to another; it is a support that connects them to the various facets of university life, from classrooms to libraries, from laboratories to extracurricular activities. Recognising the importance of seamless connectivity, UTAR has taken a significant step today to introduce a city bus service exclusively for our students. This effort is about fostering a sense of community, making university life more accessible, and ensuring that every student feels supported in their academic journey.”

He continued, “I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated team of the Department of General Services for bringing this project to fruition. Their commitment to enhancing the student experience has truly been laudable. To our students, I would like to emphasise that your well-being is at the core of everything UTAR does. This city bus accommodation service is designed with your convenience in mind, and I hope it will make your daily commute smoother and more enjoyable.”

The speech was followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a short trip around the campus in the new city bus, accompanied by students.
