STEM Outreach at SMK Seksyen 18, Shah Alam

Under the UTAR STEM Outreach, Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science academic Dr Kwan Ban Hoe and Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering with Honours student Leong Qi Ye conducted a demonstration on the process of automation in the industry at the Karnival STEM dan Keusahawanan at SMK Seksyen 18, Shah Alam on 27 September 2023. The carnival saw about 1,000 participants.

Karnival STEM dan Keusahawanan is an event organised by SMK Seksyen 18 in collaboration with Pejabat Jaringan Industri, Komuniti dan Alumni (iCAN) of UiTM Shah Alam. The STEM carnival was implemented to give exposure to teachers and students about STEM education through activities and learning that encourage student creativity and innovation.

The carnival also aimed to discover science and art stream students’ talents, abilities, creativity and innovation in STEM and foster and spark the interest of teachers and students in science and technology through STEM-based learning activities.
