In conjunction with the upcoming Tiger Sin Chew Chinese Education Charity Concert for UTAR Hospital, a sharing session titled “与你相遇、相疗,让心情飞扬” was held at Heritage Hall Building, UTAR Kampar Campus, on 20 October 2023. It was jointly organised by the UTAR Department of Soft Skills Competency (DSSC) and Sin Chew Daily.

The sharing session invited Malaysian artistes Freddie Huang Yi Fei (黄一飞) and the Catz Teh Bee Seng (小喵郑美心), and Teh Bee Koon (大喵郑美情) as special guests to present a medley of merry performances to UTAR staff and students. Besides the joy-inspiring performances, the students were also enlightened on various self-care tips in a talk given by Teh Bee Seng.

In his remarks, UTAR Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations Prof Dr Choong Chee Keong said, “UTAR Hospital is an educational hospital built from the kindness and generosity of thousands of donors. Hence, on behalf of UTAR and UTAR Hospital I would like to thank Mr Freddie Huang, Ms Teh Bee Seng, Ms Teh Bee Koon, as well as Sin Chew and Tiger Beer, for offering us their generous help in benefiting the medical welfare to not only Kampar residents, but also to all Malaysians.”

The sharing session was brimmed with cheers and laughter as Teh Bee Seng shared her insight about self-care, while weaving in numbers of jokes with the students. As a result, the students engaged in interactive exchanges with Teh, which enabled them to actively gain knowledge about the topics discussed. As a professional sexuality educator, Teh also shared various advice on topics, such as sexuality education and mental health. Moreover, some students were invited to the stage to discuss the adverse effects brought by a crime case in the shoes of the offender, victim, and other parties.
